NBC has been forced to issue a full apology after M.I.A raised her middle finger during the half time Super Bowl performance last night (February 5).
Minaj and MIA joined the singer onstage for 'Give Me All Your Luvin'', which saw MIA appearing to raise her middle finger to the camera at the end of her rap. The camera's quickly cut away.
Madonna began her set being brought onto the stage by a Roman army cavalry wearing a black and gold costume.
Their statement said: The NFL hired the talent and produced the halftime show. Our system was late to obscure the inappropriate gesture and we apologize to our viewers. There was a failure in NBC's delay system. The obscene gesture in the performance was completely inappropriate, very disappointing, and we apologize to our fans".

M.I.A has collaborated with director Romain Gavras for the video', the pair have worked together previously, on the promo for her track 'Born Free' in 2010.
The singer's fourth studio, which is currently without a title is set for release this summer.
