Jack White has announced details of his debut solo album.
The album, entitled 'Blunderbuss', will be released on Third Man / XL Recordings on April 23.
Lead single 'Love Interruption' , which features exclusive non-LP B-side 'Machine Gun Silhouette is available to stream online now.
White, who produced and recorded the album himself, said:'Blunderbuss' is an album I couldn't have released until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas.
The duo of Jack and Meg White announced last February that they had no plans to record together or play live again.
They said they had come to decision to protect the band's legacy and thanked fans for supporting them “throughout the 13 plus years of The White Stripes intense and incredible career”.
