Inspiral Carpets will support Happy Mondays on their upcoming May tour.
The Happy Mondays featuring Shaun Ryder, his brother Paul, Gary Whelan, Bez and Rowetta Satchell will return for live shows this year, along with Mark Day and Paul Davis.
The tour, featuring support from Inspiral Carpets, will kick off at Newcastle Academy on May 2, with dates in Glasgow, Manchester and Sheffield.
The group said in a statement: "The rumours are true... Happy Mondays, the seminal Manchester band who changed musical culture forever has reformed and will be available for select live gigs across 2012."
