Will.I.Am: Cheryl Cole Will Not Return To X Factor

Black Eyed Peas' Will.I.Am has revealed that the singer will not be returning to X-Factor this year.

In a statement the Black Eyed Peas rapper has said that Cole will not return to the hit television series and may even launch her own version of the talent show format.

Cole quit the U.S version of the hit TV show last year amongst much rumour and speculation about her success on the American version.

Speaking to The Mirror, Will.I.Am confessed: ''Cheryl won't do X Factor. Why does she need it? Why are you going to make someone else rich? Cheryl needs her own show."

Despite Cole’s less than graceful departure from the show, her manager has spoken kindly of her axe stating ''Cheryl Cole was current on X Factor. She was the only one on the panel with musical experience of what it feels like to go through that process.''

It was reported this week that Simon Cowell has said Cole misses the X-Factor and would be welcome to join the panel, although this now looks unlikely.

Will.I.Am went on further about his friend and employee stating “Cheryl’s the best. I was just hanging out with her on Tuesday, listening to her new stuff and getting her feedback on things and she has some really great tunes”.

Cole is set to make a comeback this year with a rumoured collaboration with American singer Rihanna, she is also rumoured to be presenting a new television show later in the year.
