The Gaslight Anthem have started work on their fourth studio album.
The band revealed over Twitter that they have been in the studio since January 20 recording the follow-up to 2010's 'American Slang'.
Speaking to Gigwise last year, Brian Fallon discussed the future of Gaslight: ''Any time you stop touring people think you’re on a hiatus or something, which is not true. We actually started writing songs a few months ago, back in July. So as soon as we get off the tour that we were on we started writing songs, and we were writing songs while we were on tour.
''We’ve got about 11 new songs, but we’re gonna go with about 40 and then pick 12 to be on the record. So right now we’re finishing up our label situations and we’re trying to decide on a producer right now. So we’re just going through that. Gaslight is just in the warming up stage before we get ready to do a new record.''
Bruce Springsteen joined the Gaslight Anthem on stage at their last homecoming show.
The singer was the band's surprise guest at the the Convention Hall in Asbury Park, New Jersey on Friday night (December 9).
Springsteen has performed with the Gaslight Anthem back in 2009 when he played track 'The 59 Sound' with them at two UK shows.
