Daddy Rock Record For Guilfest!

Guilfest invites Dad rockers to rag their air guitars for 2005.

The record for the biggest air guitar will be attempted on Sunday July 17 on the BBC Radio 2 Stage.To ensure the parents' safe strumming, air guitar UK champion Farmer John will carefully monitor their strokes and technique.

Coordinator Justin Coll told Festivalwise:, “Hardcore Status Quo fans are pretty much all equipped with air guitars, but there will be an air guitar for everyone on the 17th July when we look to set the record. We want everyone to get involved, and lets be honest, who wouldn’t want to say they were a world record holder?!”

The record, according to corrweb.com currently belongs to Bill Jaimeson of Tring, who rocked his living room for a staggering 2 hours and 45 minutes.
