Producer David Gest has revealed that previously unheard material has been donated in honour of Scottish poet Robert Burns.
In an interview with the BBC, Gest told how Jackson and he were 'fanatics' of the famous Scottish poet, and even turned some of his poems into show tunes.
The new music was meant for a show based on the life of Burns, “We went to his recording studio at the family house in Encino, and we took about ten of Burns’ poems and we put them to contemporary music, things like A Red Red Rose and Ae Fond Kiss and the story of Tam O’Shanter”
A spokesman for the National Trust for Scotland said: "We understand there was some discussion about the donation of some musical materials. If it goes ahead it will be an exciting addition."
Meanwhile, an auction of Michael Jackson's personal items made nearly almost $1 million after it went on sale last month.
