Snoop Dogg could face up to 180 days in jail after he was arrested in Texas for marijuana possession over the weekend, it has been reported.
The rapper was caught at a borderline checkpoint in Texas by a sniffer dog when his tour bus was stopped.
According to TMZ, the rapper freely admitted to being in possession of the marijuana as he holds a medical marijuana prescription in the state of California
The statement added: He was placed under arrest by U.S. Border Patrol agents and detained.
The rapper was cited for cited for misdemeanor drug possession and released. Country singer Willie Nelson was arrested in November 2010 for marijuana possession at that same checkpoint.
The news follows Snoop Dogg's seventh drug-related-arrest in 2007.
