Justin Timberlake is said to be 'seriously' considering playing Sir Elton John in a new biopic.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times earlier this week Elton John said Justin was top of his wish list to play him.
When asked who would be playing him in the film, he replied: I don't know. I've got a wish list of people. No. 1 on my wish list is Justin Timberlake, because he played me before in a David LaChapelle video of 'Rocket Man' and was superb.
''Justin is taking it very seriously," a source told E! Online. "He's working with his people to figure out exactly how to respond."
Songs such as 'Your Song', 'Candle in the Wind' and 'Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word' will feature, although a director has yet to be found.
The producers have also started thinking about lead actors, although it is believed James McAvoy is the preferred choice to portray the singer, who was born Reg Dwight in 1947.
