Zooey Deschanel has filed for divorce from Death Cab For Cutie's Ben Gibbard following their split last year.
The actress filed for divorce on December 27 2011 with the Los Angeles County Superior Court, reports People magazine.
The pair – who tied the knot in December 2009 – have decided to part ways after two years of marriage due to 'irreconcilable differences".
After announcing their split back in November, a source close to the couple said: It was mutual and amicable. There was no third party involved.''
Zooey Deschanel's band She And Him released their festive album 'A Very She And Him Christmas' in October last year.
