Speculations about the Stone Roses reformation have been made more concrete after Ian Brown openly asked John Squire to phone him.
Rumours have been rife about the seminal band getting back together after Mani joined Ian Brown on stage last month. Reni and Mani were also spotted at a gig in Manchester a week later.
And as Gigwise told you on Tuesday, members of the band were also spotted in a rehearsal studio together.
Speaking about the reunion rumours, Ian Brown told the NME: “If the kid was serious, John (Squire), why doesn’t he phone me? Why does he go through the media? Why doesn’t he call me? I’ve got the same phone number as when he last spoke to me on nine years ago. Why doesn’t he phone me? That’s all I’m saying.”
Ian Brown will release his own greatest hits compilation this autumn. It will be preceded by the single ‘All Ablaze’ on August 22.
