The xx will make their live comeback at next year's Primavera Sound festival, it has been confirmed.
The London trio will debut tracks from their forthcoming second album at the event. Bjork, Jeff Mangum, Yo La Tengo, Other Lives, Wilco, The Drums, Godflesh, Guided By Voices, Neon Indian, Josh T. Pearson, Death In Vegas, Veronica Falls and Mudhoney have also been confirmed for the festival.
The festival takes place May 30 – June 3, 2012 at Parc Del Forum in Barcelona.
The London band, who won the Mercury Prize for their self-titled debut album in 2010, recently confirmed that they are back into the studio to start work on the follow-up.
The xx posted news to fans on the process of their second album on a newly set up blog xx-xx.co.uk on which they will also post regular updates on the album.
The band wrote: "We have started recording our second album! We have also started this blog where we will post our inspirations and pictures and favourite songs."
Since the release of The xx's debut album member Jamie Smith released his first solo album.
