Mike Skinner has launched a video with his new project The DOT.
The singer has formed a new duo act with The Music singer Rob Harvey called The DOT.
The duo have already recorded and posted 14 tracks online through the-dot.net, with Harvey taking over lead vocals on the majority of the tracks.
In a new video recorded by Vice magazine, Skinner admitted that he has always wanted to produce music rather than perform it.
Speaking about writing new material in the studio, Skinner said: "Most songs you do write are s**t. My strike rate is awful!"
He later added: "Believe it or not I never wanted to be a lyricist or a performer. The reason I got into this was because I wanted to be a producer."
The Streets played their final ever gig on Sunday (November 26) after 10 years together.
The band, fronted by Mike Skinner invited fans onstage for a farewell drink as the band' played their final ever gig at The Big Reunion in Skegness.
