It has been announced today, that Bjork is to headline the Live8 concert in Tokyo, alongside McFly, Good Charlotte and Japanese musicians Dreams Come True, Def Tech and Rize.
Lily Sobhani, the Japan organiser told BreakingNews.ie: “We can’t believe the willingness of all involved to make this extraordinary event come together at such short notice – the line-up is fabulous and Live 8 Japan is going to be a momentous addition to the global series of events on July 2.”
Takumo Yamada, of Oxfam Japan, said organisers were “thrilled” about the concert.
In addition, it has just been confirmed that Justin Timberlake will perform at Philadelphia’s Live8 concert ,which also features Stevie Wonder and P Diddy.
A source told The Mirror: “It’s a real coup to sign up a star as big as Timberlake…he’ll be fantastic. He’s been a supporter of the campaign for some time and was desperate to do his part.”
