Liam Gallagher Thought He Was John Lennon?

It has been revealed that Liam Gallagher was once so obsessed with John Lennon that he insisted those around him should call him ‘John’.

His brother Noel was unimpressed when Liam started mimicking the dead Beatle and had to bring him back down to earth.

He said: "Liam did once say he was the reincarnation of John Lennon to me. In my mum's front room.

"He was talking in a Scouse accent for three days. He told me I should refer to him as John and I was like, 'I just prefer ****, man.'"

In other Gallagher news, Noel has been voicing his pessimism over the Live 8 concerts, the Oasis star does not believe that any good will come out of the event saying that politicians will just not listen.

He said of the organisers: "Are they hoping one of these guys from the G8 is on a quick 15-minute break at Gleneagles and sees Annie Lennox singing 'Sweet Dreams' and thinks, "**** me, she might have a point there, you know." It's not going to ****ing happen, is it?"

"(Or) Keane doing 'Somewhere Only We Know' and some Japanese businessman going: "Aw, look at him ... we should really ****in' drop that debt, you know'? It's not going to happen, is it?"
