Coldplay's Chris Martin has opened up about the band's recent collaboration with Rihanna on track 'Princess Of China'.
The band recently revealed their duet with Rihanna taken from the band's forthcoming new album 'Mylo Xyloto', released on October 24.
At yesterdays Q Awards the Coldplay told The Sun: "Rihanna was pretty ugly and grumpy but we got past that."
The comment was then swiftly backtracked upon by Martin who elaborated: "She's the best singer in the world and we thought what our album needed was the best singer in the world."
Coldplay were joined by the likes of Kasabian, U2 and Tinie Tempah at this year's Q Awards, were they picked up the Best Band In The World award.
Meanwhile, Coldplay have unveiled the video for their latest single 'Paradise'.
