A large patch is to be made available for Battlefield 3's day of release.
The patch, coming in at 167MB, will be available for the XBox 360 version from tomorrow's (Oct 25) North American release, Eurogamer reports.
It was thought that the patch would solely focus on ironing out online multiplayer issues, but lead designer David Goldfarb said that it will add "all the final stuff" to the game.
It is currently unknown if the PC and PlayStation 3 versions will also require the patch.
Battlefield 3 is released in Europe on October 28, two weeks before arch rival Modern Warfare 3's worldwide November 8 launch.
