Reports are circulating that the next generation XBox console will be released in 2013.
Develop has cited a number of sources, from chip manufacturers to middleware developers, that expect Microsoft to announce its update of the 360 at E3 2013.
Following this, the new console would launch either late in 2013, or early 2014.
Rumours about a new XBox have escalated throughout the year, with a source within Crytek saying that Timesplitters 4, along with the new console, would hit stores in 2012.
Those comments were later denied, with Crytek insisting that it had no knowledge of Microsoft's plans for the future.
Recent stories have suggested that both Saints Row 4 and Alan Wake 2 are in development for the next XBox.
Microsoft have not commented on the story.
