EA Sports have released a new patch for FIFA 12 across all systems.
The latest update focuses on a goalkeeper exploit, which had seen players directly control the goalkeeper to allow the computer to defend for their team instead.
Online play has now seen this feature elminated, but it remains for offline matches and modes.
Online and technical issues have also been resolved, and GameFace downloads will no longer stall when downloading.
EA said in a statement: "Once again thank you for your continued patience while waiting for this patch and for the ones we will be releasing in the future.
"While we know this patch may not contain everything you wish to be addressed, it is a good start. And with your continued support we will be addressing more issues as soon as we can."
FIFA 12 became the third-best selling game release of all time in the UK when it was released in September.
