Warner Bros, together with Rocksteady Games and DC Comics, have released the launch trailer for Batman: Arkham City.

Udboutedly one of the most eagerly anticipated titles of the year, Arkham City is already earning rave reviews, suggesting that it could be the best game released in 2011.

Following on from the successful Arkham Asylum, the 2009 game that proved there was still plenty of life left in the superhero gaming genre, Arkham City promises even more villains that the original title, from the Joker to Poison Ivy, the Penguin to the Riddler, and even the suggestion of an appearance by Scarecrow.

With the possibility to play as Catwoman or Robin, and an even bigger world to explore than before, Batman: Arkham City promises to be a truly great gaming experience.

Batman: Arkham City is released on PS3 and XBox 360 on October 21, coming to PCs in November.
