A featurette that captures seven minutes of action from Batman: Arkham City has hit the internet.

The clip, put together by oxm.co.uk, doesn't give any spoilers away, but is still guaranteed to whet the appetite of all those who can't wait for the release of the game to come soon enough.

The action starts just after the introduction, with Batman having just saved Catwoman from an acid bath - shades of the first level of 1989's Ocean classic Batman The Movie - and moving with intent to find his nemesis, the Joker.

Early reviews of the game have suggested that not only is Batman: Arkham City set to be the greatest superhero game of all time, but one of the true gaming classics as well.

Batman: Arkham City is released on October 21 for XBox 360 and PS3, coming to PCs in November.
