Fans pre-ordering Football Manager 2012 on Steam will be able to access free items for Team Fortress 2.

Those who order the game from Steam before its release will be able to unlock The Merc's Pride Scarf, Ball-Kicking Boots and a Vuvuzela Noise maker.

Eurogamer reports that the scarf can be worn by all classes, with the boots being available to scouts, which will spawn a team-coloured ball that everyone will be able to play with.

This year's version of the management sim will need to activate it through Steam in an effort to combat game piracy.

Football Manager 2012 is released on Mac and PC on October 21.
