Acitivision could be working on a Call of Duty for a new console, it has been revealed.
The first person shooter could be coming to Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita or Wii U, but there is also every chance it could be for the much-talked-about XBox 720 or PlayStation 4.
Developer Treyarch have placed a job listing for a senior software engineer to "bring [its] hugely successful game to a new console."
Treyarch have worked alongside Activision on Call of Duty: Black Ops and Call of Duty: World at War, as well as Wii ports of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and the upcoming Modern Warfare 3.
Black Ops was recently announced as the best-selling game in UK history, having sold over three million copies since its release in November 2010, although that figure looks likely to be shattered by the recently released FIFA 12.
Modern Warfare 3 is released on November 8.
