US rapper Cassidy turned himself in to police on Friday (June 17) in connection with a murder last April.
Cassidy is a suspect in the fatal shooting of Desmond Hawkins who was killed in a gunfight between two groups of men in a Philadelphia neighbourhood on April 15.
A warrant was issued earlier in the week for Cassidy’s arrest on charges of murder, attempted murder, reckless endangerment, aggravated assault, conspiracy and weapons possession, reports mtv.
The rapper will remain behind bars until the weekend when he will enter his plea. According to a spokesman for the Philadelphia district attorney, it is “very likely” Cassidy (real name Barry Reese) will be held without bail after then.
