The competition to win tickets for Geldof’s much derided Live8 sister show ‘Africa Calling,’ opened today.
The concert which is to run at the same time as London’s Live8 show has been organised to specifically focus on African music. However, it has been slated as being a half-arsed token gesture and people are angry at it being tucked away at the Eden Project while all the focus is on London.
Peter Gabriel and Senegalese musician Youssou N’Dour will be hosting the event which aims to put African music at the forefront.
Controversy aside, the night should feature some stunning performances and tickets are now up for grabs via text, post and internet.
Entrants to the competition have to answer the following question: "Where is the Eden Project? A Cornwall, B London, or C Gleneagles?".
Clue: it's not B or C.
