Erasure have announced today they have joined forces with London digital music company Digimpro to use the new di music format allowing fans to remix the single using original material. The best remixes as voted for by other fans, will all win prizes and the band will chose an overall winner from these.
The new single Here I Go Impossible Again is released tomorrow as part of a double A-side with All This Time Still Falling out of Love. It is packaged with the new di music player that gives fans the ability to edit and personalise tracks using alternative, original material that is included with the single, and resave them as MP3 files.
Bell said: “We have been bombarded with requests to include the di music player on more singles, our fans have absolutely loved it. So we thought it would be great to give exposure to some of the better remixes of the new single and showcase the work of our fans.”
“With the di player we are able to explore our own creativity further, whilst giving fans the same ability to also get creative with the music and give it their personal touch,” he added.
The di music player has been included in other artists’ work, including Moby and Roots Manuva.
