Neil Young is working on his debut autobiography, it has been announced.
The veteran singer's book, entitled Waging Heavy Peace, will offer a “revealing and intimate” look at Young's life and career.
Publisher Blue Rider Press – a new imprint of Penguin books – said the memoir was due to arrive in autumn next year.
Young said: “I started and I just kept going. That's the way my daddy used to do it on his old Underwood up in the attic. He said, 'Just keep writing, you never know what will turn up'.”
Blue Rider Press president David Rosenthal said the book would "provide the window into Neil's life and career that fans and admirers have always wanted."
Young's last studio album 'Le Noise' was released in 2010.
