Noel Gallagher has claimed that the works of William Shakespeare are “just all f*cking gibberish”.
In an interview with the Evening Standard, the former Oasis guitarist said the last play he saw was Hamlet, starring Jude Law, but admitted he struggled to get his head around it.
“It's four hours long and there wasn't one single minute that I knew what was going on,” he said.
“I was thinking, 'I know they're speaking English but it's just all f*cking gibberish.' I can appreciate the acting and the way they learned all those lines but… what the f*ck was going on?”
Gallagher is currently preparing for the release of his debut solo album 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds', due out next month.
