Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash had mashed potato thrown in his face during an interview for Soccer AM.
The incident took place ahead of the official opening of the largest guitar shop in the UK in Epsom.
Tubes, who regularly interviews personalities for Sky One's football show, shocked fans when he smashed Slash at the start of their chat.
The guitarist then stormed off after Tubes was removed from the premises but was convinced to return to meet fans who had waited hours to see the Velvet Revolver star, reports the Epsom Guardian.
Tubes' interview with Slash will be shown on Soccer AM this Saturday (September 17).
