US rapper Cassidy has had a warrant made against him for his arrest in connection with a gun-related murder in April.
The warrant was made last week, however Cassidy’s lawyer Michael Giampietro expects his client to surrender himself to authorities today (June 17).
A police spokesperson said when he does hand himself in he will be charged with conspiracy, weapons possession and homicide, reports mtv.
It is alleged that Cassidy, aka Barry Reese, and two other men armed with an array of weapons opened fire on three men near Cassidy’s Philadelphia neighbourhood in the early hours of April 15.
One of the men 22-year-old Desmond Hawkins died from a gunshot wound to the back. The other two were treated for gunshot wounds. The three victims were allegedly unarmed at the time.
Police have also issued a warrant for 23-year-old Abdul West, who is said to be one of the three shooters in the incident.
