Girl, 15, 'Raped Near Main Stage At Bestival 2011'

A 15-year-old girl has claimed she was raped at Bestival on Isle of Wight.

The teenager said she was attacked near the main stage area at  Robin Hill Country Park, Newport, on Sunday (September 11).

Police detectives have launched an appeal for anyone who might have information to come forward.

The suspect has been described as a 6ft tall black male with braided hair and wearing a white top with navy blue collar, reports BBC News.

Bestival took place over three days and featured performances from the likes of Bjork, The Drums and Primal Scream.
