Cee Lo Green has said he is "flattered" to have been offered a role in a biopic on the Wu-Tang Clan.
The Fu*k You star will play Wu-Tang member Raekwon's father in the upcoming movie, currently titled C.R.E.A.M.
He told Parade: "Me and Raekwon have been friends for quite a while. He dropped this opportunity on me and I was just so flattered. I was speechless that he would ask me to play such a significant role in his life.
"Our careers started out around the same time, and people were always likening us to each other since we have similar features. He's kind of always been my play brother, so it kind of makes sense [for me to play this role]. I'm excited about it. I would really love to do a good job and really honour him."
C.R.E.A.M. is scheduled for release in December 2012.
