The Queen revealed her groupie tendencies today by putting some of the nation’s most revered musicians on the honours list. Amongst them were big-haired, twig-legged Queen legend Brian May who was granted a CBE and Led Zep founder Jimmy Page who was awarded an OBE. Bob Geldoff’s Live 8 partner Midge Ure was also included in proceedings and is to receive an OBE.
And all this since she bumped into the May at a Buckingham Palace bash, and according to the Edmonton Sun, asked him: “What do you do?”
The old bird has obviously been swotting up on her riffs since then, or caning the air guitar with Prince Phillip.
