Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O has written a "psycho opera''
The singer has teamed up with playwright Adam Rapp on the forthcoming project, which will premiere in New York in October.
No title for the opera has released but has been described as "an assault on the tragic joys of youth''.
Directed by Rapp, the opera will run as part of the four-day festival from 13-16 at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, reports the LA Times.
Meanwhile, Blur's Damon Albarn has previewed a new track from his new opera 'Doctor Dee'.
'Doctor Dee', which is written by and stars Albarn, centres around the 9th Century astrologer John Dee.
