Michael Jackson’s defence lawyer issued a statement last night (June 8) preventing people from talking on behalf on the troubled pop star.
However, Jackson’s spokeswoman Raymone Bain held a new conference outside the courtroom earlier the same day indicating she had Jacko’s lead attorney Thomas Meserau’s go-ahead, reports the BBC.
Mr Meserau’s statement said: “A gag order is in effect which the defence will continue to honour… only Michael Jackson’s attorneys of record have been authorised to speak on his behalf.”
The statement came with a message from Jackson’s family thanking friends and family.
The gagging order came just as the jury resumed their deliberations for the fourth time earlier today (June 9).
