The annual In The City music conference in Manchester will not take place this year, organisers have announced.
The event was founded nearly twenty years ago by the late Factory Records founder Tony Wilson and his partner Yvette Livesey.
Over the years it has featured performances from the likes of Muse, Oasis and Coldplay.
But Livesey told BBC News this year's festival would not take place because she was taking time off to get married and start a family.
She said in a statement: "I have been suffering from a serious, long-term illness for some years now and thankfully I am now fully recovered.
"I am also getting married and having a baby this year so I have made the decision to take a year-long sabbatical.”
But she added that she would also use the year to plan next year's event, which will mark In The City's 20th anniversary.
