Budget supermarket Asda, a vision in green, has joined the race to offer chart albums for as cheap as possible, with CD prices plummeting to as little as £7.47.
The Sharon Osbourne-tastic store is undercutting cheapo online music retailers by the princely sum of £1.52, according to chartsingles.net.
Tesco has also joined in, offering a wallet-friendly way to snap up music online, by cleverly shipping CDs and DVDs from tax haven Jersey to avoid VAT costs.
But Tesco prices most albums at £8.99, while cheeky old Play.com triumph over the store at a mere £8.75.
And it seems no one can beat Asda as yet, they currently boast Coldplay's X&Y for a meagre £7.47.
Perfect for the penny-pinchers among us who still want to rock.
