Stone Temple Pilot frontman Scott Weiland has revealed that he was raped when he was 12.
The former Velvet Revolver star makes the admission in his new memoir, Not Dead & Not For Sale, which has been syndicated by Spin.
In the book, Weiland says he was raped by a "big muscular guy, a high school senior... [who] rode the bus with me every day to school... invited me to his house”.
He added: “It was quick, not pleasant. I was too scared to tell anyone. 'Tell anyone,' he warned, 'and you'll never have another friend in this school. I'll ruin your f*ckin' reputation'.”
Weiland says in the book that he suppressed the memory until a recent stint in rehab, when “it came flooding back”.
