The Knife have begun work recording their new album, it's been announced.
The group, Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer, released their last album 'Silent Shout' in 2006.
In a statement on their website, thy said: “The Knife is now recording a new album to be released in 2012.”
'Silent Shout' was the group's third studio album and included the hits for the single 'Silent Shout' and 'Marble House'.
In the years that have followed, Dreijer Andersson launched a solo career, releasing the critically acclaimed album 'Fever Ray' in 2009.
