The Fugees To Make New Album Together

Their first together since 'The Score'...

May 27, 2005 by Lowri Williams
FugeesThe Fugees are working on their first album together since 1996’s ‘The Score’.

Pras said to the Rolling Stone: "We're working on it. Clef and Lauryn's putting tracks together while I drop my solo album.”

In his New York studio, Fugees ringleader Wyclef was more guarded about the project, but allowed, Wyclef said: "We've gone from not talking to having conversations. There's good vibes, good energies right now. I want the Fugee thing to happen -- because it's not just music, it's a movement."

After ‘The Score’ became the biggest selling hip hop album to date the members of the Fugees went their separate ways...with Lauryn Hill going to create the Grammy award winning album ‘The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill’.

Last September the trio performed at Dave Chapelle’s hip hop Block party and Pras has said that more guerrilla gigs are on the cards: “We’re just gonna appear. It's gonna be like, boom! The Fugees!"

So all the bad vibes between band members are gone for good then?  "It's starting to feel good working with them," Pras said, "It's a great feeling."
