Will The Stone Roses Reform For Glastonbury?

The Stone RosesIt has been rumoured that The Stone Roses may be reforming in order to perform at this years Glastonbury Festival instead of Kylie Minogue.

John Squire started the rumours off by mentioning in an interview with Time Out magazine that he is hoping to build bridges with his ex-band mate Ian Brown and suggested that the pair should reunite at Glastonbury.

Squire said to Time Out: “The plan is to make a ferocious guitar record on my own. And then put the Roses back together. Kylie’s pulled out (of Glastonbury), hasn’t she? Maybe we should do it.”

Noel Gallagher has previously said that the band would be ‘idiots’ not to reform. He said to Manchester's City Life magazine: "It's only a matter of time. They've got unfinished business… but they'd be idiots if they didn't. Mani would at the drop of a hat; Ian and John have got issues, but they can be worked out. It's Reni that's key."

Drummer Alan ‘Reni’  Wren left the Roses in 1995 before John Squire left and went on to form the Seahorses in 1996 following an awful performance at that years Reading Festival.
