Broadcast frontwoman Trish Keenan has died, her record label has confirmed.
The singer died at 9am this morning (January 14) in hospital from complications with pneumonia.
Keenan had been battling the illness in intensive care for the past two weeks.
Broadcast’s record label Warp said: “This is an untimely tragic loss and we will miss Trish dearly - a unique voice, an extraordinary talent and a beautiful human being. Rest in Peace.”
Formed in Birmingham in 1995, Broadcast were credited for their art-pop music.
They released four albums, the last of which, ‘Broadcast and The Focus Group Investigate Witch Cults of the Radio Age’, was released in 2009.
