Bob Geldof has been revealed as the keynote speaker and showcase performer for the SXSW Festival 2011.
The Boomtown Rat singer will perform at the festival as well as speak on the festival's 25th Anniversary on March 17, St. Patricks Day.
The festival, which takes places from March 11-20, traditionally mixes new live music with industry conferences.
Acts for this year's festival include Bombay Bicycle Club, Chapel Club, The Naked and Famous and Pulled Apart By Horses.
