Editors frontman Tom Smith has said the band are ready to start rehearsals for their fourth album.
The singer said the group planned to record again with producer Flood, who worked on their 2009 LP ‘In This Light And On This Evening’.
“Obviously it’s a big task but we have songs now and the wheels are well and truly in motion,” he said.
“The idea is to record in stages over 2011 but first things must come first and we need to get into a room together and play, see where the ideas take us. recorded in stages throughout 2011.”
Meanwhile, Editors have also announced plans to release a retrospective of songs from their first three albums and b-sides.
The boxset, due for release in February 2011, will include seven 12” heavy weight vinyls, seven CD’s, a download of everything in high quality 320kbps mp3 format and a book of photos and words.
