Bob Geldof has admitted that his penned hit ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas’ is one of "the worst songs in history".
The Band Aid single, co-written by Geldof and Midge Ure, has become one of the most popular Christmas hits of all time. But the Boomtown Rats singer has a different view.
'‘I am responsible for two of the worst songs in history. One is 'Do They Know It's Christmas?', the other one is 'We Are The World','' Geldof said, according to the Daily Telegraph.
He added: ‘‘Any day soon, I will go to the supermarket, head to the meat counter and it will be playing. Every f*cking Christmas."
Meanwhile, the battle for this year’s Christmas number one has started as Coldplay announced that they will release single ‘Christmas Lights’.
