Clash's Joe Strummer is to hit the big screen as his life story will be turned into a film, it has been reported.
Film 4 will begin work on the project soon, entitled 'Joe Publich', revealed International Screen Daily.
The film is to be penned by screenwriter Paul Viragh, who worked on the Ian Dury movie 'Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll'.
Strummer's life has already been previously documented in 'Joe Strummer: The Future Is Unwritten' and 'Strummervile'.
Meanwhile, Clash guitarist Mick Jones has been one of a number of musicians involved in the recent campaign to save the 100 Club in London.
