The Who and Debbie Harry will both perform at a charity gig for Cancer Research, it’s been announced.
The gig, dubbed Killing Cancer, will take place at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on January 13.
Other artists due to perform include The Verve’s Richard Ashcroft and Jeff Beck.
“I am pleased to be asked to support such a vital cause,” said Jeff Beck. “Any new breakthrough in cancer treatment should be taken very seriously and we want as many people to know about that as possible.”
Proceeds will go towards Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) research and raising public awareness. PDT users laser techniques to destroy cancer cells.
Tickets go on sale on November 19 at 9am. For more details, check out Gigwise Gig Tickets.
