Actor Macaulay Culkin rubbished claims that Michael Jackson abused him, when he took to the witness stand yesterday.
The 24-year-old told the Santa Maria court that although he shared a bed with Jacko, sexual abuse allegations were “ridiculous”, reports the BBC.
Culkin who shot to fame in the Home Alone movies admitted he slept in the same bed as Jackson during numerous visits to the Neverland ranch in the early nineties, but when asked if the pop star molested him, he said: “I think I’d realise if something like that would happen.”
During the 45 minute testimony, he went on to say he only learned about the claims through TV reports.
He said: “Somebody told me you should probably check out CNN because they're saying something about you.
"I just couldn't believe it. It was amazing to me that nobody even approached me and asked if these allegations were true."
Culkin also revealed that he had a special bond with Jackson because they were both child stars. He said: “We're part of a unique group of people," he said. "He'd been through that before, so he understood what it was like to be put in that position that I was in, to be thrust into it."
Jurors at the trial were also shown a film made by Jackson’s staff where the 46-year-old denied the sex abuse claims and spoke of his desolation.
Jackson faces allegations of molesting a 13-year-old boy. He faces 10 separate charges and denies them all.
