Former Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable's death has been recorded as an accident after he choked on his own vomit, an inquest has heard.
Cable consumed a mixture of vodka and whisky during a three-day drinking session leading up to his death on June 7.
His body was discovered by his girlfriend Rachel Jones on the kitchen floor of their home, but attempts to revive him failed, reports BBC News.
A family spokesman said: "It's a very difficult time for the family who are still struggling to come to terms with our huge loss. We can't put into words how much Stuart meant to us."
Cable was one of the original members of Stereophonics, but was sacked in 2003.
He went on to forge a successful career in the media, presenting programmes on Kerrang Radio and XFM South Wales.
