Oasis debuted material from their new album ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’ last night at a star studded gig in London.
The band played six songs from the album at the show at the London Astoria, which marked the first date of their European tour of tiny venues.
According to the NME, the band opened with ‘Turn Up The Sun’ before moving on to current single ‘Lyla’.
Other new songs played alongside the usual classics were ‘The Importance of Being Idle’, ‘The Meaning of Soul’, 'Mucky Fingers’ and ‘A Bell Will Ring’. The band closed with their cover of The Who’s ‘My Generation’.
The A-list stars in the crowd included Jonathon Ross, Chris Moyles, Primal Scream, Travis and Razorlight.
Speaking to 6Music after the gig, former Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist Mani praised the band. He said: "They were great and people love them. Write them off at your peril! Hoepfully, they might have proved a couple of people wrong. They will never die will they? They're from Manchester, come on! I'd rather have them than The Kaiser Chiefs or Razorlight."
Oasis’ sold-out club tour continues at Edinburgh Usher Hall on Sunday May 15.
